- NOAA Tides and Currents — water level observations from the National Water Level Observation Network
- MSL Datum — water levels referenced to Mean Sea Level
What the Data Means
Water levels shown are relative to Mean Sea Level (MSL). Positive values mean water is above the long-term average; negative values mean below. Storm surges, king tides, and sea level rise all contribute to elevated readings.
